BAA advise you to check-in early to ensure that possible delays arising from increased airport security searches do not affect your travel plans.
Remove all sharp objects from your hand luggage Keep hand luggage to a minimum, preferably one small bag containing essentials Don't forget to collect your keys, mobile phone, camera, etc from the x-ray machines as you pass through security control. Better still, place them in your hand luggage.
All cameras, films and mobile phones are safe to pass through x-ray machines All coats must be placed through the x-ray machines. No opened drinks are allowed through security search unless in a clear container.
All shops, restaurants and bars are fully open and you are welcome to shop as normal. Airport shopping can still be taken on board the plane, although you may be asked by airline staff to store larger items in the hold. If you would rather not carry your shopping on board with you and you are flying within the European Union, you can leave your shopping at the airport and pick it up on your return in the International Arrivals Hall with BAA's complimentary Shopping Collection Service.
