Travel From Paris Airport

Travel by Train Paris Airport

Two RER lines run between Paris and Orly airport. RER B4 (OrlyVal) is 30 minutes from Chatelet (central Paris) and trains run every 4-8 minutes Monday-Saturday (6am-10.30pm) and Sunday (7am- 11pm), ,8.80 one way. Line C2 is 40 minutes from Les Invalides, Monday-Sunday (6am-11pm), ,5.25 one way.

30 minutes from central Paris via the A6 motorway (14 kilometres).

Travel by Bus or Coach

The OrlyBus runs to Paris (Place Denfert- Rochereau) every 12 minutes from 5.45am-11.30pm, ,5.70 one way.

With its kitsch modern Indian-style decor this restaurant-bar-club attracts the bobo (bourgeois-bohemian) crowd and plays a mix of 1970s and 1980s hits on its lower-level dance floor. Dancing Tuesdays to Sundays, from 11.30pm. Le Queen (102 Avenue des Champs-Elysees, 8th. Tel. 01 53 89 08 90). This grande dame of a gay club is still going strong after more than a decade. Mixed crowds are welcome for the popular Disco Inferno on Monday nights. Open from 11pm to 6am.

Places To Visit & See - Days Out - About Paris

Locals would hate to find Batignolles listed in any guide book - that's because they'd rather keep the funky bars and arty boutiques of this cosmopolitan and bohemian area to themselves. So leave the camcorder in your hotel and check out the somewhat scruffy neighbourhood north-west of Place de Clichy (in the 17th arrondissement), particularly around Rue des Dames and the Square des Batignolles.
