Travel From Liverpool Airport

Travel by Train Liverpool Airport

Bus 80 (No. 180 and 80A on Sundays) connects the airport with Garston Station, where trains depart for the centre of Liverpool. From there, national rail connections can be picked up at Liverpool Lime Street station.

Travel by Bus or Coach

Merseytravel's express bus 500 departs every 30 minutes from outside the terminal, taking 35 mins. An express coach service to and from Manchester operates from Liverpool airport. The coach operates non-stop between Liverpool airport, Manchester Coach Station and Manchester Piccadilly (Fairfield Station) and picks up and drops off at all three locations.

Travel by Car

20 minutes from Liverpool city centre and five minutes from the M57.

Travel by Taxi

Around £20

Master Chef (Renshaw Street, L2. Tel. 0151 709 3275). The halal food here is second to none. Bring your own beer and don't be put off by the restaurant's slightly frayed appearance.

Special Occasions

Villa Romana (6 Wood Street, L1. Tel. 0151 708 8004). Deceptively spacious with 'authentic' Italian decor. Excellent food ranging from reasonably priced pizzas to tasty and inventive pasta.

The Camel Club (18-22 Wood Street, L1. Tel. 0151 707 1933). Cool, unpretentious club with no dress code, just great funk and jazz and a friendly clientele making it a favourite among the visitors lucky enough to have found it.
